Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Laps mobile application and related services ("Laps", "the Service") operated by Linden LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Laps, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Laps records, analyzes, and helps you share motorsport telemetry from track days and other closed-course driving events, including lap times, GPS traces, speed, and g-force data.

2. Track use only — safety disclaimer

Laps is intended for use at closed-course, off-public-road driving events. You are solely responsible for operating your vehicle safely and legally. Never interact with the app while driving. Timing and telemetry data are provided for informational purposes only and may be inaccurate; do not rely on them for safety-critical decisions. Motorsport is dangerous — you participate at your own risk.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from Account settings in the app, which permanently removes your synced data from our servers.

4. Subscriptions

Laps offers an optional paid subscription ("Laps Pro") billed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through the platform where you purchased them. Prices are shown before purchase; refunds are handled by the respective billing platform's policies.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the data you record. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it in order to operate the Service, including features you choose to use such as leaderboards and sharing. You are responsible for content you share publicly.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service.
• Do not upload unlawful content or content that infringes others' rights.
• Do not falsify telemetry or manipulate leaderboards.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Linden LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from vehicle operation, event participation, data inaccuracy, or data loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
